
Mahmoud Keshavarz is a young Iranian design researcher who is active in the field of politically-engaged design. Has a B.A. in Industrial Design from Azad University of Tehran. Here at EDG, he is working on his research project entitled: “Forms of Resistance” about the engagement of design to the notion of ‘political citizen’ in order to empower actors of a society to find alternatives such as social platforms for resistance and emancipation. For this he carries ideas from the Left Sociology and Contemporary Philosophy to engage them with design as a critical act within society. Has published several papers in various magazines and newspapers in Iran and International Conferences and has contribution to the ‘Design Philosophy Politics‘ e-zine.
